What is your least favorite looking coin?
 

Some coins I am really not a big fan of in terms of style. For me I would have to say my least favorite is the Austrian Philharmonic Coins. They look really messy to me with all the instruments thrown together. The Austrian coins always seem to have low premiums too so i believe others don't really care for em' also. It is the coin of choice for classical music nerds. I also don't really like the 1989 Panda coin because it looks so damn weird. It's like its tying to be an 80s panda video game or something.

I like the 1989 Gold panda coin image. The 1989 Panda is the best image of all of the panda coins IMO. The least favorite for me is the Mexican Peso gold coin.

The Jefferson nickel. When I'm going through Canadian rolls of nickels looking for pre-'82 pure nickel coins, I find lots of them. On the whole, I find most US coins to be artistic and attractive (SAE is very pretty, for example), but Monticello doesn't get me especially excited.

On the bullion side, I also dislike most Panda coins. At first I also disliked the stolen-right-from-a-nickel gold buffalo design, but it's grown on me over the last little while.

The new nickles and dollar coins: I like the side profile, the front profile just looks weird.

Asian coins in general.

My favorite are Morgans, Peace, and all the pre-33 gold coins

I love collecting the 1970's 1-oz silver art bars. Those '70 art bars are easily my favorite type of silver to collect.

My least favorite silver is the 1-oz Koala coin.

I must be in the minority, I like the philharmonic.
Franklin half is a butt ugly coin, even worse than the Jefferson nickel.

Susan B. is a joke... I just say,"WHY?" every time I see one.

I like the Phils too and am not a music nerd...lol.

Like others, I dont care for the Susan B coins, or the Sacagawea and Presidential coins for that matter. Dollar coins should be big, at least bigger than a half dollar.

I would say the George Washington Presidential Dollar is the ugliest. To me it looks more like an arcade token than a coin.

I have 10 and I think they are awesome . . . I love their larger diameter, the intricateness of their design and the super high quality of their minting.

I think Buffaloes are pretty rough looking and certainly a lot of them are poorly stamped.

Anyone think they could have done a prettier face on the gold buffalo? The guy has a pretty ugly face with a long nose and his hair cut is a bit girly. They could have picked a better looking Indian.

This coin looks the most uninspired to me. They just took a kangaroo and put a few rays of light because they couldn't think of anything else. IMO

AGRO, I will be more than happy to post it when I get home (will be about 6 PM EST). I am not at home at the moment. I am at a public library using their computer to post this on my 20 min break from work. The Obama coin is one of my favorite ones. AGRO, be on the lookout for the Obama silver round at about 6:00 PM U.S. Eastern Standard Time.

I've been collecting silver world crowns for a while now. Among other sub-categories, I am particularly partial to Central & South American issues. The Ecuadorian 5 Sucres is probably the ugliest coin I'm ever likely to buy, but it fits nicely in my collection:

Guess the side with the Gazelle is not so bad. they are a bit dark due to the copper added. I like my gold to be bright yellow and shiny if possible.

In bullion coins, I really don't like silver Phils, they have a cheap look to them. On the other hand, in the same design, I love the gold Phils! Strange, no?

My least favorite would have to be the Canadian maple. I really just don't like it. I don't like Silvertowne 10z bars either, I just got one from Apmex and I am disappointed.

The gold Buffalo is one of my favorites because of its texture, it's also a classic design regardless of the ugly Indian, lol. I also have a weird thing for Libertads, they are my favorite.

SAEs are nice too.

That coin would be about the same if they had a frontal view of the dog and a view of the rear end, in place of the hag. Then consider the Canadian ML. They should consider a Maple Leaf on the obverse and a moose's ass on the reverse, instead of the hag. Would anyone notice the difference?
